Umabaisaheb Khanderao Dabhade (Marathi: उमाबाईसाहेब खंडेराव दाभाडे) was a Maratha military leader. In 1732 she became the only woman to serve as Sarsenapati (commander-in-chief) of the Maratha Army. Umabaisaheb Dabhade was the daughter of Abhonkar Devrao Thoke Deshmukh. She was married to Sarsenapati Khanderao Dabhade, and was the youngest of his three wives. She bore Khanderao three sons (Trimbakrao, Yashwantrao, and Sawai Baburao) and three daughters (Shahbaisaheb, Durgabaisaheb, and Anandibaisaheb). She built 470 steps on the hill to reach the temple of the Goddess Saptashringi near Nashik in 1710.〔http://www.nashik.com/travel/shirdi.html〕 She died on 28 November 1753 at Nadgemodi in Pune.
